  • THURSDAY 9 FEBRUARY

    Committee Meeting

7.30pm at Margaret Lord's flat in Teddington. Please contact Linda or Alex for the address/directions if you would like to attend.

The Management Committee is the body which oversees the life of the Church. All its members are Trustees of the Church, and sign a declaration that they will discharge their responsibilities in keeping with the expected standards.

The Committee normally meets every month, and has three core functions. First, it sets out the direction of the Church, in keeping with periodic consultations with the congregation. Second, it monitors the progress of the Church towards its key objectives, often with the help of working parties that it has set up for a particular purpose. Third, it monitors the more routine matters of Church life, such as lettings and maintenance, while also ensuring that the Church finances are properly administered.

The Officers of the Committee are elected by the Congregation at the Church AGM.

Any member of the Congregation is welcome to attend Committee meetings, which normally take place at 7.30pm on the second Thursday of the month.

If you are a member or regular attender of the Church and wish to put an item on the Committee agenda, please email Rev Linda Hart or Alex Warleigh-Lack or write to one of them or to Mary Armstrong and Helen Nicholls at the church address. Please make sure you send any items for the Committee's attention at least a week ahead of the Committee meeting.

Current committee members are: Alex Warleigh-Lack (Chair), Paul Richards (Treasurer), Lawrence Tuckman (Facilities), Mary Armstrong (Secretary), Trevor Lewis, Margaret Lord and Christopher Warleigh-Lack.

    Dances of Universal Peace

    2pm to 5pm

The Dances of Universal Peace are inspired by the wisdom and sacred phrases of the world’s authentic spiritual traditions which are sung as we dance. They engender a mood of joy, peace, liberation, contemplation and presence.

"The Dances of Universal Peace change lives. And the world changes life by life. All over the earth people long for an alternative to the numbing effects of consumerism, … They long for an actual experience of reverence for the earth and life in all its forms. The dances show how."

    -Neil Douglas-Klotz

There is no need for any previous experience of this or any other form of dance. Please bring snacks to share during the break. Cost: £5.00 (concs) then sliding scale up to £10.00. You are invited to pitch yourself according to your means.

To confirm dates and for more information please email Lindsay at: lindsayastevens@blueyonder.co.uk
