Ceremonies
Births, Deaths and Marriages
Throughout the ages, people have gathered at times of transition to celebrate, and to mourn.
- » At birth, children are welcomed, named and blessed;
- » As people join their lives, the community gathers to recognise and celebrate the union;
- » And when death comes, loved ones come together to remember, to celebrate the life of the one who is now gone, and to mourn together.
Other Life Transitions
Along the way in our lives, there are other moments and opportunities for recognition:
- » Upon moving into a new home;
- » On important anniversaries;
- » When couples wish to recommit to each other;
- » At retirement from work;
- » When making a new start;
- » When a child moves toward adulthood;
- » At separations or divorces.
Personalised Services
We offer a range of personalised services at RPUC that acknowledge life transitions. These include weddings, marriage blessings, civil partnership blessings, baby namings, christenings, or dedications, and funeral or memorial services.
As well, our minister and church are available to recognise other life transitions that you may wish to recognise with a special service, such as retirement, divorce, coming of age, anniversary of a marriage or a re-commitment of marriage ceremony.
Available to All
Our services are available to people of all faiths or none. It is part of our ministry to provide a place where significant life changes can be celebrated with dignity and integrity.
